Stellar Drive – Driving Lessons and Tuition

Welcome to Stellar Drive. These Terms and Conditions explain the arrangements and expectations relating to driving lessons and tuition provided by Stellar Drive. By booking a lesson, you agree to these terms.

My aim is to provide a professional, friendly and supportive learning environment, helping every pupil develop the knowledge, confidence and skills required to become a safe and responsible driver.

1. Booking Driving Lessons
All driving lessons are subject to availability. Lessons may be booked directly with myself, using the contact details provided on this website. When booking lessons, pupils must provide accurate contact details and any information reasonably required to arrange their tuition. A booking will be confirmed once the agreed arrangements have been made.

2. Lesson Payments
Your first lesson payment will be required at time of your initial registration, in order to secure and confirm your agreed allocated lesson slot time and day. Thereafter, any further lesson payments must be made anytime before, but no later then 48 hours prior to your weekly booked lesson, using the agreed payment method and within the agreed timeframe. Failer to comply with these terms, may result in your lesson being cancelled and reallocated to an alternative student.

3. Cancellations and Rearranging Lessons
Lessons should be booked and attended on a weekly basis as much as is possible, with no more than a four week break in between lessons, otherwise your allocated weekly slot may be cancelled and reallocated to the next available candidate. If you wish to cancel or rearrange a booked lesson, a minimum of 24hrs prior notice must be given by you. If this condition is not met, you may still be charged for the lesson and no refund will be issued. If your instructor has to cancel the lesson for any reason at short notice, they will endeavour to give you sufficient notification and it will be there responsibility to rearrange the lesson and your payment will be carried over accordingly. Nothing in this section affects any statutory cancellation or refund rights you may have.

4. Pupil Responsibilities
To get the most out of your driving lessons, pupils are expected to:
* Hold a valid UK provisional driving licence or other licence legally permitting them to undertake the tuition.
* Meet the legal eyesight requirements for driving.
* Inform their instructor of any relevant medical condition, restriction or change that may affect their ability to drive legally and safely.
* Arrive on time and be ready to begin the lesson.
* Follow the instructor's reasonable safety instructions.
* Treat their instructor and other road users with courtesy and respect.
* Attend lessons fit to drive and not under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or medication that makes driving unsafe or unlawful. Stellar Drive reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a lesson where it would be unsafe or unlawful to continue.

5. Driving Lesson Duration
Lesson durations will be agreed at the time of booking. The lesson time includes any necessary briefing, instruction and feedback. If a pupil arrives late, the lesson may still need to finish at the originally agreed time, subject to the circumstances and my availability. A maximum of 10 minutes waiting time will be allocated, thereafter, if the student does not attend, the lesson will be marked down as a "No Show", and the student will still be charged for the lesson. 

6. Driving Test Preparation
Stellar Drive will work with pupils to develop the skills and confidence required to prepare for their practical driving test.
Although your instructor may provide guidance on your readiness for the test, the final decision to book a test rests with you. No guarantee is given that a pupil will pass their theory or practical driving test, as the result depends on their performance and the assessment conducted by the relevant examiner. Pupils are responsible for ensuring that their driving test booking details are correct and that they meet all applicable requirements. Use of the instructor's vehicle for a practical driving test must be agreed in advance and is subject to availability, suitability and the instructor's assessment of the pupil's readiness.

7. Use of the Instructor's Vehicle
The instructor's vehicle is provided for tuition and, where agreed, practical driving tests. Pupils must follow all safety instructions and must not use the vehicle for any unauthorised purpose. The instructor may end a lesson if a pupil's behaviour, condition or actions create a risk to themselves, the instructor or other road users.

8. Instructor Responsibilities
Stellar Drive aims to provide professional tuition tailored to each pupil's learning needs and ability. Lessons will be delivered with due care and attention to road safety, relevant driving standards and applicable legal requirements.
Progress varies between individuals. The number of lessons required to reach test standard will depend on each pupil's experience, ability, practice and progress.

9. Refunds and Block Bookings
Any refund request will be considered in accordance with the terms agreed when the lessons were purchased and applicable consumer law. Where a block of lessons has been purchased, the treatment of unused lessons, promotional discounts and any refund due will depend on the circumstances and the applicable terms. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

10. Personal Information and Privacy
Stellar Drive will handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and its privacy arrangements. Personal information will be used where necessary to manage bookings, communicate with pupils, provide tuition and meet legal obligations. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected.

11. Complaints and Feedback
Stellar Drive welcomes feedback and aims to resolve any concerns fairly and promptly. If you have a complaint about your lessons or the service provided, please contact Stellar Drive directly using the contact details on this website so that the matter can be reviewed.

12. Changes to These Terms
Stellar Drive may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to its services, business practices or legal requirements. The applicable terms will be made available on this website. Any changes affecting an existing booking will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any relevant agreement.

13. Website Information
We aim to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date. However, lesson availability, prices and services may change. Any specific booking arrangements or prices confirmed directly with you will take precedence where applicable, subject to your legal rights.

14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, unless another legal requirement applies. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
